Waiting for New Moon

I suppose I should show you my devotion of waiting in line to see New Moon. I signed up for Fandango email I got thru a tip on one of the Blogger sites. When I got the email alert, I was giddy as a school girl. I purchased my tickets right then and there; I couldn't get my credit card out fast enough for fear, OMG, that they might sell out! I have been waiting since September to see Precious and the Wolf pack along with the millions of other Twit-hearts. My daughter, her BF, and her friends along with my BFF and her son also went with me and we all made a couple of new friends. I have to thank my BFF's son for getting there at 5pm to be one of the 25 who were in the very front of the line.

My BFF and I went to the bar around the corner to "warm up" but decided to go to Starbuck’s instead. We figured booze of any kind would make us pass out since it was past our bed time. LOL

It had rained earlier in the day but thank goodness that it had stopped and the rest of the night was just so 'effin cold--in the 30's. We should have gone to see Twilight {{next time}} and could have been warm and toasty in our seats. If I had a mini-E I would have taken his picture too {{maybe next time too}}. So if Summit wants to make bank again maybe they’ll run Twilight and New Moon along with the Eclipse premiere. {HINT HINT}.

The night was great and the audience was behaving too. We had a lot of over 20 yr olds and everyone kept the screams to a very low squeee {people were actually shh'ing}. At the end with Bella, Edward and Jacob, I did clap and give a woohoo! I am going to go again very soon. I don't think I'll see it 10x's like I want but I will get my monies worth when the DVD is out. Thanks for looking! Christine.

PS~OH yea, look at my Twitarded button!

I Know…

I know a year ago, I could give a rat's ass about Twilight. But the thing is it makes you curious. What is the buzz about the books and the movie? I didn't have any interest in the Twi-kingdom. I still haven't warm up to the idea of Daniel Craig as the latest James Bond either, still haven't seen Casino Royal or the Quantum of Solace, so I guess I shouldn't talk. Maybe it is because I saw him play the bad guy in the Road to Perdition and Lara Croft: Tomb Raider. I did see him in a freakish movie where he's an actor that loses his way, Flashbacks of a Fool. BAD, too much soft porn for me! I think Eve was the only one that I liked in it. Note to self, rent Casino Royal and Quantum of Solace. He does have some awesome blue eyes and a nice ass though! Rawr!

Getting back to what I was saying…I took a look at the whole Twilight thing. Okay I watched the DVD and ok I read the book(s). Shazam! What just happened here? I was a cake decorating crazy mama and had hopes and dreams of opening up my own cake decorating store and take over the cake decorating world! MUhahahahaha! {{Stretching halt!}} Who is this pretty boy Rob with the crazy blue eyes or green depending on what he's wearing and that smirky, excuse me, crooked smile and the hair—oh the hair and the scruffy beard—whoa mama. What did I just say? AHH! He's starting to affect my brain…and I just can't….seem…to get…away from…the power…don't look at his eyes. Thx 2 GQ.

Which brings me to my recent purchase of Van Morrison's CD, Still On Top: Greatest Hits. I like it! The music puts you in a mood that makes you want to associate pictures of Rob to some of the songs. I didn't know that Van wrote, Have I told you lately that I love you and Warm Love, along with the 21 other tracks (a couple of songs were when he was with the band Them). Of course my favorites are, Brown Eyed Girl, Moon Dance, Domino and Wild Night. I am still processing the other songs that I am not familiar with. I can see why RP says VM is a favorite. Van is becoming one of my favorites too. Here's a snip of Moon Dance by Van Morrison. New favorite word is fantabulous. LOL!! Thanks for looking! Christine

Well it's a marvelous night for a moon dance
With the stars up above in your eyes
A fantabulous night to make romance
'Neath the cover of October skies
And all the leaves on the trees are falling
To the sound of the breezes that blow
And I'm trying to please to the calling
Of your heart-strings that play soft and low
You know the night's magic
Seems to whisper and hush
And all the soft moonlight
Seems to shine in your blush...

Can I just have one a' more moon dance with you, my love?
Can I just make some more romance with a' you, my love?
